Program Manager | Integrated Recovery Network

“Some of the structural and systemic factors that contribute to people of color experiencing homelessness at disproportionate rates include the revolving door of the criminal justice system which robs citizens of their ability to vote after a felony conviction, the foster care system which has an 80% chance to enter a child into homeless, medical racism which keeps people of color from receiving medical care, the immigration system which separates families and the war on drugs which intersects the previous systemic problems. These are all just some of the many systemic errors in our society which desperately need to be remedied.”

Marcos E Delgadillo is the Program Director for Integrated Recovery Network. He spearheaded IRN’s Project Roomkey site where they converted a 100-room motel to an emergency shelter for vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 quarantine. He successfully staffed the program and began operating within a week of funding approval. He is currently working on the California Community Reinvestment Grant Program where they are helping those disproportionately affected by the war on drugs.
