From Systems Change Accelerator to Systems Change Fellowship

The heart of SJPLA’s values comes from the belief that liberation doesn’t come from how fast and big we can go but from the depth of our connections to each other and ourselves. We are excited to announce that we are reflecting these values by changing the name of the Systems Change Accelerator to the Systems Change Fellowship.

Why "Fellowship"?

The inaugural Systems Change Cohort

When we first launched the Accelerator, our vision was to create a launching pad for early-stage social justice initiatives, equipping leaders with the tools, resources, and networks necessary to refine their visions and accelerate their growth and impact. Over the last several years, we've reflected on the ways that impact is actually not about speed or size, but rather about the ability to move at the speed of relational and values-driven work. We’ve observed that the most profound and lasting impact of our program is about the space for reflection, connection, and authenticity, and the lasting relationships built among the cohort and the broader SJPLA community.

"Fellowship" speaks to the heart of what we aim to achieve—a community bound by common purpose, shared values, and mutual liberation. This name reflects a space where leaders contribute to a vibrant ecosystem of changemakers.

As we step into this new name, our program continues to nurture these leaders through peer learning, coaching, and meaningful community engagement, so they can advance initiatives that tackle the root causes of racial and social injustice
