We’ve received an overwhelming amount of responses so we are moving up the deadline to apply

Due April 13

Overview

The Wellbeing Fund will distribute $1M in microgrants directly to workers so they can address their unique wellbeing needs. LA County Homeless sector workers can apply for a one-time grant describing their wellbeing needs and the funding required.

The grants take a holistic and inclusive approach to wellbeing, allowing workers to identify and express their needs rather than imposing restrictive definitions of wellbeing supports. We believe that by focusing on individual wellbeing, we can inspire employers to think more creatively about supporting worker benefits and overall wellbeing. The data collected from grant applications will also help funders and employers better understand the needs of workers in the sector, informing future wellbeing initiatives.

Background

The Wellbeing Grants are part of our partnership with United Way of Greater Los Angeles (UWGLA) and Cedars-Sinai Investing in the Care and Retention of Workers in the Homeless Response Sector addressing challenges like burnout, fatigue, and high turnover rates.

This partnership has led to over $5M in funds granted directly to frontline workers and Community Based Organizations as well as additional resources invested in Healing Justice programming, and a Living Wage report to assess the gap and path to provide a true living wage to LA’s homeless sector workers.
