JOB DESCRIPTION:

LAHSA is the Continuum of Care and rehousing system administrator for Los Angeles. LAHSA is a public agency and a joint powers authority of the City of LA and LA County, which is the regional planning body that coordinates housing and services for homeless families and individuals in Los Angeles County. LAHSA coordinates and manages over $800 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs that provide shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Hilton Fellow will oversee Executive Department stakeholder engagement including designing and implementing a framework for meaningful engagement of LAHSA’s diverse stakeholders including community providers and public agencies. The Hilton Fellow will analyze existing stakeholder engagement including the Government Affairs department’s work with elected officials, cities, and others and the Systems and Planning department’s work with LAHSA boards and design a framework for how the Executive Department can ensure all of LAHSA’s stakeholders are meaningfully engaged. Once the framework is designed the Hilton Fellow will support the implementation of the framework.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stakeholder engagement including experience with community organizing and communications. The ideal candidate will also have deep knowledge of homeless systems and best practices. The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
