Shawn Bolton
As the Assistant Vice President of Program Operations at Chrysalis, my passion, skillset, and work experience revolve around putting people first. With over 14 years of experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing both Federal, State, and locally funded community programs. In my current position at Chrysalis, not only do I work collaboratively with the Chrysalis Executive Team, but I also support and oversee operations of our Volunteer & Program initiatives, Orange County, San Fernando Valley, and Santa Monica Program Sites.
I believe strongly that the key to cultivating a positive work environment and therefore improving client experience, lies in nurturing a healthy staff morale and a shared vision. Moreover, my experience with collaborating to implement community-based programs has allowed me to confidently navigate the process of developing sustainable systems for individual and community growth. My career background and skills include grant writing and procurement, project development, staff development, youth education, homeless services, workforce development, health and wellness, and fiscal management. My work history has provided me with tremendous experience in serving underrepresented and low-income communities; all of which have made me a well-rounded and compassionate leader.
