The Collective for Liberatory Lawyering
"I experienced exclusionary discipline in elementary school without anyone ever sending me to a counselor or investigating my needs, repeatedly showing that I did not belong, and was eventually arrested at age 14. I represented students and parents in school push-out proceedings and continued to see with them that a focus on criminalization in schools denies a student full access to their education.”
The Collective for Liberatory Lawyering works with organizers and impacted families to co-design investigations of school conditions using criminalization data and student/parent experiences to fight for police-free schools in LA.
