Sharon brings to SJPLA a background in the social change, innovation, and human rights space in Australia, South Korea, and the U.S.

Prior to joining SJPLA, she was the New York-based U.S. Program Officer at North Korea Strategy Center U.S., a nonprofit advocacy and research organization dedicated to raising awareness of human rights violations in North Korea. Founded originally in Seoul, Sharon led the establishment of the US presence, driving development and increasing visibility. She designed and managed a first-of-its-kind online storytelling webinar series for North Korean resettled refugees, called ‘Storytellers for Change.’

Sharon began her career supporting social ventures at the School for Social Entrepreneurs in Sydney, coordinating a multi-state team delivering Incubator and Accelerator programs, and managing the first revenue-generating program, Action Learning Facilitation Training.

Sharon graduated from the Australian National University in 2011, with a double major in International Relations and Korean language.
