Wellbeing Series: Getting Real in the Age of AI with Susan X Jane

All of a sudden AI is everywhere, running our homes, writing our documents, and now poised to take over our timelines with a new generation of unreality. When the real world has seemed so unreal for years now, the advent of the age of AI can have us feeling fuzzy, confused by fakery, and longing for what's true.

What does it mean to connect in the real world when unreality is encroaching in our everyday lives? We'll explore the concept of reality and how to navigate the rise of AI. Together we'll practice ways to ground ourselves in authenticity and wholeness.

Susan X Jane is a diversity educator, speaker, and trainer. A former professor and youth worker, she now consults with organizations looking to make sense of our current cultural shift. She thinks a lot about media and race…a lot, and writes and speaks about media…and race... and generally encourages everyone she meets to think about the way our identity shapes our experiences, ideas, and beliefs about the world.

SJPLA’s Wellbeing Series is a free workshop every second Thursday of the month at 11 am. The workshops introduce a variety of healing modalities as part of our Racial Equity in Homelessness Initiative. These sessions promote personal rest, renewal, and connection creating space for discussion on how to sustain wellbeing practices.
