In this workshop, we will learn about herbs that can support our digestive and nervous systems. Come ready to talk about plant medicine, simple herbal preparations, and common medicinal herbs. The goal is for participants to leave with practical skills that will support their work in the field.
Loba (they/Loba) is a Queer Peruvian migrant herbalist, farmer, full spectrum doula and presenter under the project Flora Pacha. They have been facilitating workshops throughout the continent for over a decade. Loba currently runs a high desert mini farm in so-called New Mexico where they grow crops for seed saving, food and medicine. SJPLA’s Wellbeing Series is a free workshop every second Thursday of the month at 11 am. The workshops introduce a variety of healing modalities, as part of our Racial Equity in Homelessness Initiative. These sessions promote personal rest, renewal, and connection creating space for discussion on how to sustain wellbeing practices.
