JOB DESCRIPTION:

LACDA is the County's Community, Housing and Economic Development arm.  We provide gap financing for affordable housing, operate boutique homeowner programs and operate the County's Housing Authority and Community Development Block Grant Programs. 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

The position will be located within the LACDA’s Housing Strategies Unit (HSU) in the Housing Investment and Finance Division. This dynamic team is working at the forefront of County initiatives to develop intervention strategies that preserve existing affordable housing, support the creation of new affordable units using housing incentives, prevent displacement of low-income tenants, and develop tools to map and track market trends leading to gentrification and the subsequent loss of naturally occurring affordable housing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Any experience with land use approvals and affordable housing preservation and set aside requirements pursuant to density bonus, inclusionary housing, by-right, and preservation ordinances monitored by the LACDA. Additionally, the position will assist with some affordable housing policy analysis and the management of ongoing and new affordable housing preservation and new construction initiatives.
