The Heart Center
The Heart Center is dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by incarceration and the trauma it brings by providing access to a variety of healing modalities and retreats. The center aims to offer those affected the freedom to choose their preferred methods of healing in a supportive and transformative environment.
Okha is the founder of The Heart Center, inspired by her own remarkable journey of healing through profound personal challenges. After the brutal murder of her mother and her father’s wrongful arrest for the crime 22 years later, Okha turned to various healing modalities to overcome these traumas. She is a certified yoga teacher with 500 hours of training, a sound healer, and a Reiki practitioner. Okha’s healing journey led her to establish The Heart Center, a sanctuary envisioned as a retreat center, 90 minutes outside of Los Angeles, designed specifically for individuals impacted by incarceration and domestic violence. The name "The Heart Center" came to her while playing in the sand in Joshua Tree, symbolizing her deep connection to this work. Okha is passionate about ensuring that those affected by incarceration have access to the healing resources they need and the freedom to choose their path to recovery.
