Reflecting on Our Collective Journey in 2023
As the holidays and year-end draw near, we pause to reflect on our journey in 2023—a journey enriched by each member of our community. Whether you’ve been a program participant, a volunteer, a donor, or a steadfast ally, your role has been indispensable. In this post, we celebrate our collective achievements and advocacy for justice and wellbeing in Los Angeles.
Your belief in the power of collective action has been felt in every endeavor we've undertaken this year. Here are some milestones that narrate our shared story:
The Fast Pitch 2023 Celebration
We celebrated nine leaders from our Accelerator cohort who are driving change in LA. This event served as a testament to our community's interconnected work for liberation. —>
Monthly Wellbeing Practice Sessions
By nurturing the wellbeing of those dedicated to caring for others, we've discovered the profound impact of empathy, care, and support for ourselves. Together, we are building a culture of wellness that reverberates across the workforce. —>
Community Care and Workplace Sessions
We explored dialogues and practices that infuse care into the workplace ethos, thereby fostering environments where workers can thrive. —>

New Cohorts
We expanded our community by welcoming three new cohorts this year: the Systems Change Accelerator, the Racial Equity in Homelessness Fellowship, and the inaugural Hilton Foundation Policy and Systems Change Fellowship. These programs welcomed changemakers committed to systemic transformation, racial equity, and policy innovation in Los Angeles.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. As we move forward, let's continue to challenge the status quo, live in alignment with our values, and drive systemic change for a more just and loving Los Angeles.
