In December, our Systems Change Accelerator cohort and Racial Equity in Homelessness Fellowship cohort came together for a visioning exercise focused on creating a liberatory workplace. Together, they developed 12 organizational leadership strategies to build a liberatory workplace that you can begin today.

SJPLA’s Racial Equity in Homelessness Initiative is accepting eligibility submissions for two fellowship cohorts that are designed for folks who want to advance their careers and center racial equity in LA’s homeless response sector.

We are so excited to open applications for two of our flagship programs, the Systems Change Accelerator and the Racial Equity in Homelessness Fellowship. These programs are both nine-month journeys for leaders advancing racial and social justice in Los Angeles.

Thanks to funding from Cedars-Sinai and United Way of Greater LA, we’re proud to announce $2.5M in funds for 53 organizations. These funds will provide cash stipends between $500-$1,500 to over 3,000 homeless sector frontline workers in the coming months.

We launched SJPLA’s Racial Equity in Homelessness Initiative to shift the culture and workforce of the homeless response sector to center racial and social justice.

We are thrilled to introduce the first cohort of Racial Equity Fellows who will lead this charge across the sector.
