After three years of virtual events, we are thrilled to announce that Fast Pitch is returning as an in-person gathering in 2024! Mark your calendars for the afternoon of April 23rd at the California Endowment in Los Angeles.

Meet the 2023-24 Systems Change Accelerator Cohort, the leaders addressing LA's pressing challenges. Dive into their stories, learn about the upcoming in-person Fast Pitch event, and discover how they're reshaping Los Angeles County.

Fast Pitch proved to be a powerful event fueled by passion, vision, and collaboration. Together, attendees helped raise $21k during the event. With a goal of raising an additional $4,000, we encourage you to continue supporting these important initiatives by donating.

In December, our Systems Change Accelerator cohort and Racial Equity in Homelessness Fellowship cohort came together for a visioning exercise focused on creating a liberatory workplace. Together, they developed 12 organizational leadership strategies to build a liberatory workplace that you can begin today.

Each year, our Fast Pitch coaches act as key partners in amplifying the stories of our Accelerator leaders and embodying the values we wish to see in the world. Recently, we held a reflection session with our Fast Pitch coaches to build community and explore coaching norms to consider ways to take a more liberatory approach.

Eighteen SJPLA community members will serve this year as Fast Pitch coaches for our nine speakers.

The 2021-22 Systems Change Accelerator came to a close last week with an in-person lunch to celebrate these incredible leaders and the SJPLA community who supported their journey.⁠

We are so excited to open applications for two of our flagship programs, the Systems Change Accelerator and the Racial Equity in Homelessness Fellowship. These programs are both nine-month journeys for leaders advancing racial and social justice in Los Angeles.

The Fast Pitch event is part of our nine-month journey with our Systems Change Accelerator cohort. With the support of their coaches, each leader in the cohort crafts a three-minute story and an invitation for the audience to join them in realizing their vision.

We’re excited to be launching our fourth cohort of the Systems Change Accelerator with ten powerful leaders tackling the root causes of Los Angeles’ most pressing social problems.
